Problem

At the time of desiging this, the Apple Music app had a number of percieved user experience problems that needed fixing. These problems had a common theme that clearly indicated a prioritization of form over function.

Target Audience

Young adult (18-35) music listeners with Apple devices.

Solution

A redesign that prioritizes functionality and one-handed use while maintaining a clean, modern feel. A mostly-black interface is easy on the viewer’s eyes, and the buttons and navigation all share a rounded, friendly look. The most important elements of navigation and usability are one tap away.
